Project & Operations Specialist | Transitioning into Data & Process Analytics

I’m Jacobus “Cobus” Mostert — a certified project and operations professional with a background in international trade, logistics management, and business operations. I hold a Master's in International Trade and the globally recognized CAPM certification from PMI.

Over the past few years, I’ve led logistics teams, supported small businesses with operational improvements, and worked in large-scale inbound operations. These experiences have shaped my ability to think structurally, manage systems under pressure, and get things done.

I also experimented with solo consulting work, which — while not commercially successful — sharpened my insight into small business operations and the practical limits of strategy in under-resourced contexts.

Now, I’m pivoting into data analytics and process improvement — combining my real-world experience with formal training in data-driven decision-making. I’m currently completing the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate on Coursera, where I’m building practical skills in data cleaning, visualization, and statistical analysis using tools like SQL, R, and spreadsheets.
